Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use Crateflip. It should be read alongside our Terms of Service.

1. Information we collect

We collect the details you choose to provide when using Crateflip along with the operational telemetry required to keep the service running. That currently includes:

We use a single visitor cookie that persists for one year to recognise repeat visits. Analytics rows are pruned after 180 days, archived tracks remain until you delete them, and related feedback or audit logs follow the same retention windows noted below.

  • Account information such as your email address, display name, and username.
  • Profile content including the audio file you upload, your bio, imagery, and any links you add.
  • Operational data like sign-in timestamps, feature usage, and basic diagnostics needed to keep the platform reliable.
  • Visitor analytics such as anonymous identifiers, visited paths, referring URLs, user agents, geo-IP lookups, and cookie signals used to measure reach.
  • Marketing-note telemetry, voluntary feedback submissions, track history archives when you replace an upload, and moderation or audit metadata tied to your account.

2. How we use your information

We use the information above only to operate and improve the service. That spans analytics dashboards, marketing insights, support responses, and moderation or audit workflows:

  • To authenticate you and let you access the dashboard.
  • To publish and share the public artist page you configure.
  • To monitor performance, diagnose issues, and secure the platform through analytics reporting and operational dashboards.
  • To communicate with you about important updates or support requests and to understand marketing effectiveness.
  • To maintain compliance, moderation, and audit trails that document account activity and track history replacements.

3. Storage and retention

Crateflip runs on infrastructure provided by trusted partners. Authentication is handled by Auth.js, while uploads are stored in S3-compatible object storage. Analytics events are pruned after 180 days, our visitor cookie expires after one year, and archived tracks stay available until you delete them or remove your account.

Deleting a track, clearing feedback, or closing your account removes the remaining associated data subject to the retention windows above. We keep only the audit history that is still required for compliance during those periods.

4. Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with service providers who help us deliver Crateflip (for example, authentication, storage, or analytics vendors) and only for the purposes described here. Those providers must process the data according to our instructions.

5. Your choices

You stay in control of the information you provide:

  • Update your profile, links, or uploads directly from the dashboard.
  • Delete your track or profile picture to remove it from our storage.
  • Use Delete account in the dashboard to remove remaining personal data, subject to any legal obligations we may have to retain certain records.
  • Email us at hello@crateflip.com if you need help accessing, updating, or removing data.
